As you might have read in previous posts, the Helmholtz Centre Dresden Rossendorf (HZDR) has installed an experimental facility at its premises to prove the CEEGS cycle at the laboratory scale.
The project partners from HZDR operated the CEEGS facility at the required specific pressure and temperature conditions. Temperatures and pressures of up to 250 °C and 235 bar were achieved during operation. The experimental results will be presented at the 6th European Conference on Supercritical CO2 (sCO2) for Energy Systems in April in Delft, the Netherlands. Further measurement campaigns will demonstrate the reproducibility of the experimental data and the dynamics of the cycle.
