Our researchers at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf (HZDR) successfully completed a pressure test for high temperature and pressure, marking a significant milestone for our operations. With the recent delivery of the CO2 pump, the CEEGS facility can now operate at pressures exceeding 200 bar, with temperatures reaching above 200°C in specific sections.
In a rigorous test, water was pumped into the designated area and pressure was steadily increased up to 464 bar. This pressure was maintained for several hours under the watchful eye of an independent inspection body. The outcome? Our facility has demonstrated its capability to withstand these extreme conditions, affirming its readiness for operation at the required parameters.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to advance research at the CEEGS facility!
