We’re proud to share that Andrés Carro, researcher at the University of Seville and contributor to the CEEGS project, has been awarded the Young Scientist Culture Award 2024 by the City Council of Seville. He received the prize in the category of PhD Researchers in Experimental Sciences for his outstanding work on “New solutions for storage and recovery of thermal energy on a large scale.”

Part of the award-winning work was developed within the framework of the CEEGS project, reflecting the project’s innovative contribution to energy storage and decarbonisation.

The XII Youth Prize for Scientific Culture 2024 aims to promote and recognise the research efforts of young scientists in Seville, encouraging a stronger scientific culture and a critical mindset among youth. The award is open to researchers aged 16–30 conducting research in Seville and the surrounding province.
